Okay, so it is official...I QUIT!!! It has only been 9 weeks into school and my teaching partner and I are ready to throw in the towel. This year's kid's are Crazy with a capital "C".  We have trid everything under the great big sun to get them to stop talking and follow directions. They won't. I am stickered to death, plus why give stickers to those that act crazy. I have tried table points, but the same loud mouth, winny, name calling, kicking, yelling, punching, brats ruin it for the rest of the table. I have tried individual rewards and when someone gets a reward, some of the others yell and scream and start crying because they wanna know, "why she get something and I don't, ummm, ahhhh, what chu looking at? bang, punch, kick" I am telling you , they    are     Crazy! ! ! I had one pulling feathers off my walls during lesson time, out in the hallway....geez he must of crawled out there cause he was caught crawling in the back of my class today too. Thank God a teacher buddy of mine caught him and not my principal.

Lets see how a typical lesson goes in Ms. Hatcher's class...my class that is.....

Okay boys, "sit down", we are "I need all eyes and ears up hear". we are going "Ms. Hatcher D won't sit down....he's messing with your overhead", "K you need to take care of your business, D come sit right here" "Man why you up in my stuff, you need to leave me alone." "I didn't do nothing....Ms. Hatcher, D won't stop bothering me....STOP....Stop looking at me, "Why you looking at me? Alright than,...D sit down and don't say another word, K get over there in your chair and do not get up again.... but Ms. Hatcher you never get onto anyone else. I didn't do anything, it was D.  And this goes on the whole time we are doing a lesson....it drives me insane. I try to be strong, and

And this is the first of many non teaching moments that happen in my class. I have also met them at the door and said in a firm voice there will be no talking and playing today, get over there sit down. Now please note that they have further instruction and they choose to not follow it. We have responsibility sheets we can sign for behavior, but most of the students that get them signed pretty mucch everyday, tear it outo and throw it away and then tells us they don't know what happened to it.

SO ANY SUGGESTIONS....I AM TIRED OF READING ABOUT  MORE POSITIVE REINFORCERS....THESE KNUCKLE HEADS NEED TO MIND.

Hello Xanga pals...I hope all is well. Well, I have met a new friend here in Xanga and have been able to talk to him about some things that many do not know about. It really feels good to know that Xanga is bringing people together all across the world.

Okay so, I'll spare you the emotional aspect of having this new friend, but just know that there are people who still care about others and like to help even if it is just reading someone's story.

Speaking of stories.....if your life could be made into a movie....what type of film would it be (comedy, romance, action, etc...) and what would it be about?

Hello world......

Well I have some news....in the last few very enjoyable summer weeks, I have battled with leaving my church of 4.5 years, starting over in the ministry under someone else just helping, starting old relationships back up, becoming a new aunt ( yes a 4 star aunt), a 4 year president of the homeowners association in our subdivision, a 2 year subdivision patrol officer, a 2nd grade 1st year teacher, a student for the summer, an aunt of my best friends baby, a sharp, witty teacher that will now where some trendy glasses, a gym going hoot, and of course a wonderful daughter that has to remember her mother's metapause will end someday long before our relationship ( I hope). Anyways, life is good and busy. I know that I am excited about school starting up again, but for the first summer without full time work or full time school it has been nice.

Okay long time no blog...yeah, yeah, I know....well only 3 more days until school is out and then blog city here I come. This time last year I was praying for a job. This year I have a great job for next year. I will be teaching 2nd grade again and I will be teaching the GT class. I will also be in charge of all GT materials and training for the whole school. Cool, uh....I get to have my Principal come sit in at my meetings too.

Well, my kids and I are having a hard time parting. They don't want to go to 3rd if I am not their teacher. I don't want new kids....well some I will trade.....hehe  So I will get back with all the crazy sayings on my next blog...I am really tired now...goodnight!

Okay so 2nd grade is not that bad...no wait...it is horrible! Well, I guess I should explain. I have a child J and he is very smart and likes to play games. Head games that is. He tells me that when he gets in trouble at home he is going to be bad at school. Well he does all kinds of things now like cheers in the middle of class, yells out loud, says everything I say but opposite, stands and won't sit, makes a mess at his table and won't clean it up, talks uncontrollably in the hall and class, always touching walls and books and anything else he can while down the hallways, and if that isn't enough...he back talks and tells me "No". I am just at wits end with him. He use to not do this...it all started after I had a parent conference in reference to his blurting out answers all the time. That was the just of our problems with J. My goodness, I never thought it would turn out to be this way.

Now being the person I am....this kind will not out smart me. I did a tricky thing one day. I ignored him the whole class. No matter what he did I didn't say a word to him. Talk about anoying .....urrrgggg! He drove me crazy, but I could tell he didn't like what I was doing and it felt good to have some control back. He messed up my room, he was doing high kicks and the splits along with cheers after everyone answered a problem right, and not lastly....falling out on the floor for a vew seconds of rest and back up he went.

Two hours later, they finally came to get him for DMC (detention). And when he came back guess what he did,,,,it all over again. He has officially driven me in sane in the membrane. So, now my partner and I are thinking of switching him to her homeroom and try putting him with  different kids. I don't know...the more we talk to the parents, the worst he acts at school. I even set up a hand written contract by him and myself and when he gets 5 stickers for being good and answering questions.....he gets a treasure box toy. Well he did so well the other day that I gave him his sticker and really made all over him and what do you think he did? He started acting badly again and I asked him why he was doing what he was....and he explained that he forgot about yesterday and was paying me back.   Yeah go figure........any suggestions..HELP!!!
